System Security Engineeringrequirements development |

A critical step in the Information Assurance process is to define the applicable security requirements to support clients’ compliance and protection needs. CTA’s information systems security engineers have worked with customers to analyze and create complete security assurance and functional requirement sets to guide secure designs and implementations. By using the requirement sets as the foundation for design, CTA has been able to integrate security into client architecture design solutions and minimize unwarranted complexity and rework. ExperienceCTA Engineers have established specific requirement sets for weapons systems such as F-22 Raptor and the F-35 JSF and general major application systems for GSA. These requirements sets have addressed the various regulatory sources associated with diverse client environments. In these situations, the requirement sets have been uniquely tailored to address multi-national, multi-service and multi-department needs as appropriate. Additionally, our approaches have had to be flexible enough to address maturing policies such as FISMA compliance and reporting. Our experience includes the use of requirements engineering tools such as Dynamic Object Oriented Requirements System (DOORS) as identified by the client’s system engineering processes.
